The Horizon League had 13 women's golfers placed on the 2014 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar team that was announced last week.

Conference champion Detroit led all Horizon League scools with four honorees as Lindsey Lammers (two-time Horizon League Player of the Year ), Jessica Mallender, Olivia Richards and Christina Thorne represented the Titans.

Cleveland State and Youngstown State were next with three players each on the list. The Vikings had Michelle Ford, Allyson Hackman and Colleen Miller Cleveland State University on the squad, while Mia Barchetti, Aislynn Merling and Allison Mitzel represented the Penguins.Valparaiso's Michelle Kleckner and Erika Pfaender and Oakland's Danielle Crilley rounded out the Horizon League contingent.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.
