2017-18 Horizon League Women's Basketball Composite Schedule

Eight teams will battle it out on opening day, including last season’s co-regular season champions Wright State and Green Bay. The three-time defending tournament champion Phoenix will head to Dayton, Ohio, to take on the Raiders to open league play. In other opening night competition, Cleveland State welcomes Oakland, Detroit Mercy travels to Youngstown State, and Northern Kentucky hosts Milwaukee. League newcomer IUPUI begins its first season in the Horizon League with a trip to UIC on December 30.

Sunday, February 25 will mark the final day of the regular season, just five days before the start of the 2018 Women’s Basketball Championship. This year the championship moves into the state-of-the-art Little Caesars Arena for the third iteration of Motor City Madness. The five-day championship will showcase all 10 teams with all nine games featured on ESPN platforms.

Continuing a partnership that began during the 2014-15 season, ESPN3 will be the home for the League’s live streaming game content. The Horizon League has streamed every conference basketball game for an industry-best 11 consecutive seasons, beginning its streak in 2007 with the groundbreaking Horizon League Network. All regular season contests and the first four days of Motor City Madness will air on ESPN3 before the final airs on ESPNU.
