INDIANAPOLIS – UIC freshman Allie Trudeau earned Pitcher of the Week after allowing just one hit in seven innings and Brittney Moffatt earned Player of the Week after knocking in nine runs in six games.

Trudeau pitched seven scoreless innings for UIC allowing just one hit and one base on balls over the stretch. After pitching one inning in Flames’ second game against Green Bay, the freshman threw six innings the following day striking out five batters to earn the win. Trudeau notched her seventh win on the year to earn her first Player of the Week honor.

Brittney Moffatt / Youngstown State / Senior / Infielder / Curve Lake, Ont.

Moffatt recorded nine hits and nine runs batted in as Youngstown State won all six league games played on the week. The senior reached base in every game including four two-hit games. The infielder also drew three walks and didn’t strike out once in 21 at-bats. Moffatt is the second Penguin to win the weekly honor on the season.
