INDIANAPOLIS -- Northern Kentucky's Dani Devlin has been tabbed as the player of the week and Valparaiso's Ashlyn Montgomery has been named the pitcher of the week, respectively.

Devlin had a monster week for the Norse recording six hits in 14 at-bats and four runs scored. All six hits were of the extra-base variety with four doubles and two home runs. In Northern Kentucky's win over Umass Lowell, the senior hit two home runs and registered four runs batted in to help the team win 8-6. The multi-home run game was the first in Devlin's career. The catcher notched another four RBI game verses Chattanooga just two days later to help the Norse pick up their second win on the road trip.

Ashlyn Montgomery / Valparaiso / Junior / Pitcher / Lebanon, Ind.

Montgomery pitched in all five of the six games that the Crusaders played in over the week including a stellar outing versus No. 9/11 Alabama. Against the Crimson Tide, the junior started and pitched six innings only allowing four hits and one earned run as the Crusaders were edged 1-0. The Lebanon, Ind. native also tallied two wins on the weekend against SE Missouri State and Eastern Illinois allowing only one earned run in each game. The pitcher tossed a complete game versus Eastern Illinois and capped off the week by earning a five-out save versus Alabama State. For the week, Montgomery pitched 19 innings and registered a 1.11 earned run average.
