Horizon League Softball Players of the Week (Mar. 27)

INDIANAPOLIS -- Wright State's Libby Pfeffer earned player of the week after recording four multi-hit games and seven runs batted in. Maddi Lusk was named pitcher of the week taking the mound in five games and tallying four wins for Youngstown State.

Libby Pfeffer / Wright State / Senior / Second Baseman / Clayton, Ohio

Pfeffer batted third in the lineup in four of Wright State's five games on the week and produced seven runs for the Raiders. In the team's two wins over Dayton, the senior recorded two hits in each game knocking in a total of three runs. Opening up Horizon League play versus Detroit Mercy, Pfeffer brought home two runners to help Wright State start off league play with a victory. In the squad's double header against the Titans the following day, the Clayton, Ohio, native totaled five hits in seven at-bats and two more RBI.

Pfeffer hit .556 on the week with nine hits with five of her hits being doubles and notched seven RBI for her first career player of the week honor.

Maddi Lusk / Youngstown State / Freshman / Pitcher / Johnstown, Ohio

Lusk was a workhorse for Youngstown State throwing 32 innings on the week in five appearances. The freshman tossed three complete games of not allowing an earned run including two wins over Horizon League foe, Oakland. The native of Johnstown, Ohio, registered 21 strikeouts on the week and earned four wins on the week. In addition, Lusk helped her own cause and batted in a run in the Penguins 5-0 win over St. Bonaventure.

Lusk's performance helped Youngstown State start out 3-0 in league play while earning pitcher of the week for the first time in her young career.
