INDIANAPOLIS – Co-Players of the Week were awarded with Green Bay's Allie Taylor and Detroit Mercy's Courtney Gilbert both batting 6 for 11 and totaling seven RBI over three games. UIC's Allie Trudeau earned back-to-back Pitcher of the Week honors after tossing 13 innings while not allowing an earned run.

Allie Taylor / Green Bay / Senior / First Baseman / Waunakee, Wis.

Taylor broke Green Bay’s career home run record in the team’s three-game series against Northern Kentucky. The senior blasted three round-trippers to set the program’s all-time record at 18. Taylor recorded six hits on the weekend in eleven at-bats for a 1.364 slugging percentage. The first baseman brought home seven runners to help Green Bay take the series against the Norse.

This is the first Player of the Week honor for a Phoenix player on the season and the first in Taylor’s career.

Courtney Gilbert / Detroit Mercy / Sophomore / Shortstop / Delhi, Ontario

Gilbert tallied two hits in each of Detroit Mercy’s three games on the week including two home runs. Of the sophomore’s six hits, four of the hits were of the extra base variety to knock in seven runners as the Titans won all three games played against Cleveland State. Gilbert’s grand slam in the second game of the series accounted for all of the Titans’ runs in their 4-2 victory.  The shortstop’s .545 batting average for the week upped her season average to .385 which is the best in the Horizon League.

This is Gilbert’s first Player of the Week honor in her young career and the first Titan to be recognized for the award on the season.

Allie Trudeau / UIC / Freshman / Pitcher / Racine, Wis.

Trudeau picked up where she left off last week dealing 12 strikeouts in 13 innings on the week. The freshman picked up the win in the last game of UIC’s series against Wright State throwing five innings of work while not allowing an earned run. Before the Flames series against the Raiders, the right-handed thrower picked up two saves in non-conference matchups against Loyola and DePaul.

This is the second Pitcher of the Week honor for Trudeau on the season with UIC winning the award six times between three different pitchers on the year.
