INDIANAPOLIS -- Just a few short months away from co-hosting the 2013 Midwest Regional of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, the Horizon League has announced it has been chosen to co-host the 2014 Midwest Regional, as well.

IUPUI will serve as the additional co-host.

“The Horizon League is delighted to be once again designated as the institutional co-host for the 2014 Midwest Regional and looks forward to working with NCAA staff, the Indiana Sports Corporation and the city’s extraordinary volunteers to stage an exceptional event,” said Commissioner Jon LeCrone.

Both of the regionals will take place at Lucas Oil Stadium, prepping the League and the facility to host the 2015 Final Four. This season’s regional will mark the Tournament’s 20th year in Indianapolis.

Culminating with 2010’s memorable championship game, the Horizon League went through a stretch of hosting six Final Fours in 19 years.

In the past eight years, the League office and/or member institutions have hosted a women’s volleyball regional, two Men’s Final Fours, two men’s basketball opening rounds, two men’s basketball regionals, three Women’s Final Fours, a women’s basketball regional and a men’s golf regional.
