Horizon League Tennis Players of the Week (Feb. 28)

INDIANAPOLIS -- Cleveland State freshman Nico Mostardi has been named Horizon League Men's Player of the Week while Youngstown State's Dominika Lackova won the award on the women's side.

Nico Mostardi / Cleveland State / Freshman / Cleveland, Ohio

Mostardi continued to be a bright spot on the year for Cleveland State winning two points for the Vikings on the week. Versus Ball State, the freshman playing as the team's No. 1 won in straight sets 6-2, 6-3. Just a few hours later, the right-hander breezed past St. Bonaventure's No. 1 for another straight set victory.

Dominika Lackova / Youngstown State / Senior / Bratislava, Slovakia

Lackova shined playing as the team's No. 1 over the weekend. The reigning Horizon League Player of the Year jumped out to a 7-5, 6-2 win in the team's match against Dayton. Just one day later versus Ball State, the senior won a tough two set point 7-5, 7-5 to earn a point for the Penguins.

Kathleen Hebble and Paige Heuer / Valparaiso

Carrying their momentum from winning the weekly honor, Hebble and Heuer defeated IUPUI 6-4 in their doubles match. The senior duo upped their record to 4-2 on the young season for the Crusaders.

Chad Kissell and Charlie Emhardt / Valparaiso

Kissell and Emhardt won their doubles game 6-2 in Valparaiso's first league match of the season against UIC. This was only the second week that the pair have played together on the year.
