SINGLES

Isabella Spindler / Sophomore / Cleveland State / Clarkston, Mich.

Spindler picked up a straight set win over Sam Houston State playing as the team's No. 1 during Cleveland State's Texas road swing. The sophomore won 6-4, 6-3 to help clinch a point for Cleveland State which proved critical as the Vikings edged Sam Houston State 4-3 to win the match. The Clarkston native recorded her fifth win on the season as the team's No. 1 and helped Cleveland State notch their sixth win on the year.

Niko Wasilewicz / Freshman / UIC / Riverwoods, Ill.

Wasilewicz was called up to play as the team's No. 1 due to a late scratch and was unfazed in UIC's win over South Dakota State. The freshman earned a tough 7-6 win in the first set before running away with the second set 6-3. Not only was this Wasilewicz's first match as UIC's No. 1 versus a Division I opponent, but his point was crucial in UIC's 4-3 win.

Victoria Bensimon and Jana Schober / Cleveland State

Playing as the No. 1 doubles team, Bensimon and Schober cruised to a 6-3 win to set the tone for Cleveland State's win over Sam Houston State. The pair is now 6-6 playing together on the season including 3-2 as the team's No.1.
