The Horizon League and Time Warner Sports - Wisconsin announced on Tuesday (March 6) that they have partnered to provide coverage of all games of the 2007 Horizon League Women's Basketball Championship that are played at the Phoenix Sports Center on the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay campus.


The action on Time Warner Sports channel 32 will begin Wednesday (March 7) at 8 p.m. ET (7 p.m. CT) with quarterfinal action when top-seed and 22nd-ranked UW-Green Bay (25-3, 16-0 Horizon League) plays host to ninth-seed University of Detroit Mercy (5-25, 1-15), which upset eight-seed Loyola University Chicago 75-68 in Monday's first-round action.


As the regular-season champion, UW-Green Bay will host the semifinal doubleheader Friday (March 9) if the Phoenix wins its quarterfinal game. The first semifinal at 6 p.m. ET (5 p.m. CT) would match the winner of the Youngstown State-Butler game against the winner of the Cleveland State-UIC game. Then, at 8:30 p.m. ET (7:30 p.m. CT), Green Bay would play the winner of the Wright State-UW-Milwaukee game.


All games produced by Time Warner Sports - Wisconsin also will be available live for free on the Horizon League Network (HLN), the League's broadband channel at www.horizonleague.org.


Matt Menzl will call the play-by-play for each game, while former UW-Green Bay sports information director Brian Nicol will provide the color commentary.

Regardless of site, the Horizon League Women's Basketball Championship Game will be broadcast to a national audience Sunday (March 11) at 1 p.m. ET (12 p.m. CT) on ESPNU. Jim Barbar will call the play-by-play, and Patti Phillips will handle the analysis.
