Nine Horizon League women’s basketball teams will play 12 games this weekend, starting with three contests on Friday. Three games will be shown live on the Horizon League Network.
Loyola (3-2) gets the action started on Friday as it travels to Colgate for a 7pm ET tip off.
Also at 7pm, Cleveland State (5-1) will host Western Michigan in a game to be carried live on the Horizon League Network.
The Vikings cracked the CollegeInsider.com Women's Mid-Major Top 25 poll that was announced on Tuesday (Nov. 30), for the first time this season, coming in at 23rd, while Green Bay came in at the top of the poll.
Valparaiso (1-4) will head to Evansville on Friday to play in the Heritage Federal Credit Union Aces Classic. The Crusaders will face tournament host Purple Aces at 8:30pm ET.
Butler and Milwaukee, both at 3-3, will start the weekend off playing host to Indiana St. and Northern Iowa, respectively on Saturday. Both games will be streamed live on horizonleague.com
Also on Saturday, Wright State (2-3) will travel to Akron and Youngstown State (2-4) will visit American in 2pm ET contests.
UIC (4-2) will face Illinois St. at 3:05pm ET on Saturday and Detroit (3-2) will take on St. Joseph’s at 4:30 pm.
Valparaiso will finish up tournament play against Coastal Carolina or Central Michigan in Saturday’s championship or consolation game. Game times are 2:00 and 4:30pm ET.
The Ramblers and the Titans will wrap up the weekend on the road on Sunday. Loyola will play at Niagara at 2pm ET, while Detroit will face Tulane at 5pm.
