INDIANAPOLIS- For the final player of the week honors on the season, Detroit Mercy junior, Brianne Cohen has been selected as the Horizon League Player of the Week. Meanwhile, Cleveland State's Jade Ely has been tabbed as the Horizon League Freshman of the Week, respectively.

Cohen shot an incredible 23-29 from the field over Detroit Mercy’s three game stretch. In their home win over then No. 1 Wright State, the junior shot a perfect 8-8 from the floor for 20 points in just 21 minutes of play. In their clash at Cleveland State, the Toronto native recorded 19 points on 80 percent shooting while notching four rebounds and two blocks. Rounding out the regular season, the forward registered 17 points on 7-11 shooting along with four rebounds and three swats. In addition Cohen reached the 1,000 point club.

Ely scored eight points in each of Vikings’ two games including a perfect 8-8 shooting from the foul line. In Cleveland State’s win over Detroit Mercy, the freshman collected five rebounds and dished out two assists to go along with her eight points. The guard followed up with 2-4 shooting and pulled down three rebounds in their final game versus Oakland.
