INDIANAPOLIS- Oakland junior, Taylor Gleason has been named Horizon League Player of the Week and Detroit Mercy's Anja Marinkovic has been selected as Horizon League Freshman of the Week, respectively.

Gleason scored 20 points in each of the Golden Grizzlies two wins last week. In Oakland’s thrilling upset over No. 21/24 Green Bay, the junior shot 7-12 from the field including 4-7 from three while adding four rebounds and three assists. Oakland had not defeated a ranked opponent since 2009 entering the week.
Against Milwaukee, the scorer made seven shots on 11 attempts sinking two triples to down the Panthers. The 5’9" playmaker stuffed the box score by pulling down seven boards and dishing out four helpers.
This is the first Player of the Week honor for Gleason on the season and as well as in her career.
Anja Marinkovic / Detroit Mercy / Freshman / Guard / Toronto, Ont.
Marinkovic notched two double-figure scoring games on 75 percent shooting as the Titans took down both Milwaukee and No. 21/24 Green Bay. Against Milwaukee, the shooter scored 16 points hitting four of five from behind-the-arc. In the team’s showdown versus the Phoenix, the guard followed with 11 points in 14 minutes knocking down all three shots attempted from three.
This is the second Player of the Week honor for Marinkovic on the year.
