Nine Horizon League women’s basketball teams will play during the Thanksgiving weekend, with 17 games taking place Wednesday through Sunday. Six games can be seen live on the Horizon League Network.
Youngstown State (0-3) gets the long holiday weekend action rolling on Wednesday as it hosts Bucknell in a 5:15 start in a game to be carried live on the Horizon League Network. The Penguins are looking for the first win of the season and first victory for new head coach Bob Boldon.
Also on Friday, Detroit (3-1) will travel to Bowling Green for a 7pm ET tip off, while Valparaiso (1-2) will host Ball State at 8:05pm. The Valpo game can be seen live on the Horizon League Network.
Green Bay (3-0) will spend Thanksgiving Day on the court at the Caribbean Classic in Adventura Palace, Mexico in a 12pm ET game against Hartford. The Phoenix, which was named 23rd in the latest ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll will then face Penn State at 2:30pm ET on Friday.
Butler and Loyola, both sitting at 2-1, will also be in tournament play on Friday. The Bulldogs will take on Wake Forest in the WBCA Classic in Notre Dame, Ind. at 4pm ET, while the Ramblers will face Eastern Washington in the first game of the Omni Hotels Classic in Boulder, Colo. in a 7pm ET tip.
Cleveland State is looking to extend its 4-0 start as it hosts Florida A&M on Friday. The 7pm ET game can be seen live on the Horizon League Newtork.
Green Bay and Loyola will wrap up tournament play on Saturday, as the Phoenix take on Utah at 1pm ET the Ramblers will face either Evansville or Colorado.
UIC and Milwaukee, both at 2-2, will start the weekend off on Saturday. The Flames will travel to Dayton for a 2pm ET game, while the Panthers will host Western Illinois at 3pm in a game to be carried live on the Horizon League Network.
The Bulldogs will face IUPUI at 4pm ET on Saturday and Youngstown State will host Ohio at 4:35 pm. The YSU game will also be streamed live on horizonleague.com.
Butler will wrap up its tournament on Sunday at Notre Dame and Cleveland State will travel to Indiana. Both games are set to tip at 2pm ET. Valparaiso will host Cincinnati at 2:35pm in the final contest of the weekend in game to be aired live on the Horizon League Network.
