Horizon League Women's Soccer Players of the Week (October 2)

INDIANAPOLIS –Northern Kentucky forward Jessica Frey lead the Norse to two Horizon League wins this week and claims this week’s Offensive Player of the Week honors. IUPUI defender Natalie McNally earns Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week by helping extend the Jaguars’ winning streak to nine straight.

Jessica Frey helped Northern Kentucky to two Horizon League wins this week. She scored the game-winning goal in a match against Wright State on Wednesday. The goal occurred in the 75th minute, and the Norse won the match by a score of 1-0. In Saturday's 2-1 win over Detroit Mercy, Frey tallied a goal just 28 seconds into the match. This season, Frey has recorded nine goals, and the Norse are 4-0 in Horizon League play.

Natalie McNally helped IUPUI extend its winning streak to nine straight and improve to 4-0 in Horizon League play. She anchored an IUPUI defense that yielded just one goal in wins over UIC and Green Bay last week with the lone score coming via a penalty kick. McNally also held the two opponents to just nine shots apiece and just five total on goal and played a team-high 84 minutes in the field in the win over UIC.
