HoriZONE Checks In With Butler's Melody Austin

I'm Melody Austin and I thought I would let ya'll know how the bulldogs are doing. This season is off to a great start! We had a really exciting weekend! We just won the Kennesaw State Volleyball Invitational this past weekend making our record 6-1.

We started our weekend off with a short practice on Thursday after class, and then we hopped on the plane to Atlanta, Georgia.

Our first match on Friday was against Austin Peay University from Tennessee. We won in four sets against APU, which was the second regional match that we've had so far.

Saturday ended with a win against Loyola Maryland in the morning, and Kennesaw that night. We were really proud of our hard work paying off for us. We even had two teammates named to the all-tournament team, and Porshia Allen was the tournament MVP.

It's safe to say that they'll remember who the Bulldogs are in Kennesaw. I'm getting ready to head over to Hinkle Fieldhouse for practice. We're playing Indiana State Tuesday (Butler won, 3-1). Hope to see ya'll there!
