Horizon League Men's Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week
Jay Schweitzer, UW-Milwaukee, Freshman, Middleton, Wis.
Schweitzer placed second in the 400-meter event while also running with the second-place 4x400-meter relay. In the 400-meter, he posted a League-best time of 49.86 and ran with the relay that completed the distance in 3:22.57. In just two career meets, Schweitzer already ranks eighth in school history in the 400-meter and has run with two of the school's eight-fastest 4x400 relays.

Horizon League Women's Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week
Tenia Fisher, UW-Milwaukee, Junior, Milwaukee, Wis.
For the second weekend in a row, Fisher won her only event, taking top honors in the 600-meter at the Central Collegiate Championships. She crossed the line in 1:34.37 to post the second-fastest time in school history and the best time in the Horizon League so far this season.

Other Top Men's Performers
Ramy Sulaiman, Detroit, Sophomore, Farmington Hills, Mich.
Sulaiman broke the 54-year-old UDM pole vault record with his vault of 3.98-meters (13' 0.75") at the Simmons Invitational hosted by the University of Michigan. The old record, held by Bernard Archer, was set in 1947. Sulaiman's vault placed him eighth overall in the event.

Marcus Lesley, UIC, Junior, Markham, Ill.
Lesley broke his own school-record in the 60-meter hurdles with a second-place finish of 8.13 at the Eastern Illinois Megameet on Jan. 23. Lesley later added a seventh-place mark in the 60-meter dash (7.05).

Mark Eckerle, Loyola, Senior, Downers Grove, Ill.
At the Notre Dame Opener this weekend Eckerle grabbed second place in the men's 400-meter dash with a mark of 50.39 for a team-high finish.

Other Top Women's Performers
Andrea Karpala, Detroit, Senior, Tecumseh, Ont.
Karpala finished third in the weight throw at the Red Simmons Invitational with a toss of 16.94-meters (55' 7").

Anna Hinterschied, Loyola, Junior, Reynoldsburg, Ohio
Hinterschied recorded a new personal best this weekend at the Notre Dame Opener. In the one mile run, Hinterschied improved her time from 5:26.72 to 5:21.17 to grab an eighth place finish at the meet

Casanav Simmons, Wright State, Freshman, Columbus, Ohio
Simmons ran the 400-meter dash in 1:00.20 to take first in the fourth section at the Central Collegiate Championship.
