Indoor Track and Field Male Athlete of the Week
Drew Weizer, Youngstown State, Sophomore, Garfield Heights, Ohio
Weizer broke the school record in the weight throw with a mark of 16.99 meters (55'9") at the Western Pennsylvania Intercollegiate Indoor Championships on Sunday at Robert Morris. Weizer's first-place throw surpassed Jarrod Davis' top mark ( 54'10.25") which was set on Feb. 21, 2004.

Indoor Track and Field Female Athlete of the Week
Maureeca Lambert, Loyola, Sophomore, Bloomington, Ill.
Lambert took first place in the women's 3000-meter run at the Notre Dame Invitational. Her mark of 9:50 set a new personal best and placed her fifth on the all-time list at Loyola.

Other Top Male Performers
John Frazer, Butler, Senior, Belfast, Ireland
Frazer finished runner-up in the 3,000-meter run at the Notre Dame Invitational. His time of 8:11.13 was a lifetime best and the fastest time in the 3,000 by a Butler runner in the past two years. Kurt Benninger of Notre Dame, who won the event, ran the second-fastest time (7:59.39) in the NCAA this season.

Ryan Byrne, Detroit, Sophomore, Essex, Ontario
Byrne wrote his name in the Titan record book again, this time with his 49.73 personal record time in the 400-meter. That mark places Byrne in 10th place all-time. Byrne also teamed with Eli Kafer, Marcus Davis and Eric Christy in the 4x400-meter relay to place third (3:27).

Marcus Lesley, UIC, Junior, Markham, Ill.
Lesley continues to impress as the Markham, Ill., native took home the 60-meter hurdles title at the Redbird Invitational, hosted by Illinois State, with a time of 8.22 on Saturday afternoon.

Edmund Blankson, Loyola, Freshman, Glen Carbon, Ill.
Blankson had two strong finishes for the Ramblers this weekend at the Notre Dame Invitational. In the 200-meter dash, Blankson posted a team-high finish of fourth place and set a new personal best record as he clocked in at 22.28. Blankson also placed fifth in the 60-meter dash, marking another team-high finish with a mark of 7.12.

Sarah Kemple, Butler, Freshman, Arlington, Ind.
Kemple placed fourth in the women's 3,000-meter run at the Notre Dame Invitational with a lifetime best time of 10:07.46. It was the second-fastest 3,000 meter time by a Butler freshman in school history, trailing only the 9:58 recorded by Mary Reeves.

Andrea Karl, Detroit, Sophomore, Casco, Mich.
Karl had the Titans' best performance of the day at the Michigan Intercollegiate as she set a new personal record in the mile with her time of 5:01.10. Karl placed sixth overall in the event.

Marie McVetta, Wright State, Sophomore, Grafton, Ohio
McVetta finished second in the 1-mile run (5:14.32) and finished eighth in the 3000-meter with a time of 10:41.20 at Findlay's Indoor Track & Field Classic on Saturday.

Danielle Bolt, Youngstown State, Sophomore, Mattapan, Mass.
Bolt broke her own school record in the 60-meter dash with a winning time of 7.57 on Friday evening at Bowling Green's Perry Field House. Bolt also had a strong showing in the 200 with a second-place time of 25.37 and ran the third leg of the 4x400 that recorded the best time of any YSU quartet this season.
