Horizon League Championship Outstanding Running Performers

Majors took League Championship titles in both the 400 meters and 800 meters. His winning time in the 400 was :49.59, while he posted a 1:56.86 in the 800. Majors was also the anchor leg of the victorious 4X400 meter relay team. Genni Gardner Horizon League Championship Outstanding Field Performers Joe Lahmon Lahmon won the men's weight throw with a toss of 60'6", bettering the field by over three feet. He also posted a fifth-place finish in the shot put. Bethany Anderson Other Men's Award Winners Running Newcomer, Nick Herold, Loyola Field Newcomer, Quinn Mongoven, UW-Milwaukee Coach of the Year, Pete Corfeld, UW-Milwaukee Other Women's Award Winners Running Newcomer, Tiffany Brigham, Field Newcomer, Alisha Anthony, Coach of the Year, Pete Corfeld, UW-Milwaukee On the men's side, UW-Milwaukee finished with 175 points, while Several UWM athletes were able to defend their titles from a year ago, including Nick Gretz, who won the shot put for a third-straight year with a toss of 54"8.25". Darren Cole also returned to the top of the podium in the triple jump with a leap of 47"3.75". The Panthers won the 4X400 meter relay for the third-straight year, thanks to a time of 3:22.24 clocked by Trentin Edwards, Pat Casey, Lynn Koepke and Jeremy Majors. The UW-Milwaukee women topped UW-Milwaukee's Timeka Walker defended her titles in both the 60-meter (:07.71) and the 200-meter (:25.41) events. Jenni Saarinen also picked up a win for the Panthers, defending her title in the pentathlon. This was also just the second year the event has been included in the Horizon League Championship. UW-Milwaukee won the the 4X400 meter relay for a second-straight year with a time of 4:02.13. This year's relay squad was made up of Emily Budde, Taryn Cozine, Laura Ring and Kicha Cary. Loyola's Marcia Faustin won the high jump for a fourth-straight year with a mark of 5'5.25".
