INDIANAPOLIS -- Cleveland State senior Kailey Klein has been named Horizon League Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the period of Feb. 1-7. The selection marks Klein's third weekly honor from the League office this season and the eighth of her career.

Klein, a guard from Cherry, Ill., averaged 26.0 points and 12.5 rebounds while posting a pair of double-doubles in Horizon League action last week. She also raised her career point total to 1,876, becoming Cleveland State's all-time leading scorer in the process.

Klein recorded 21 points and 11 rebounds in Cleveland State's 62-51 victory over UIC on Thursday. She then registered a season-high 31 points and career-high tying 14 boards against Loyola on Saturday.

The Horizon League's 2009-10 Preseason Player of the Year continues to pace the conference in scoring (16.5) through 22 affairs. She also ranks fifth in blocked shots (0.8) and sixth in rebounding (7.5).
