DETROIT -- Former Detroit Titan big man LaMarcus Lowe will play the upcoming basketball season in Holland with Rotterdam Basketbal College.

Lowe inked a deal with the Dutch professional hoops club last week. He initially sought after a NBA free agency deal but agreed to terms with the international organization instead. Lowe will play in the Dutch League against former Green Bay standouts Rahmon Fletcher and Bryquis Perine, both of whom play for Stepco BS Weert.

Lowe started all 35 games he played in last season for the Titans and averaged 6.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and a team-best 2.26 block shots per game. The wiry center was a member of the Horizon League All-Tournament Team after helping the Titans capture their first League Tournament title in 12 years.

Lowes earned the Dave DeBusschere Most Improved Player and the team's Top Defensive Player honor at the annual end of the year banquet. Lowe finished his career with 157 blocked shots which ranks third in school history.

Rotterdam has already started practicing and their first game is Saturday, Oct. 6 versus Leeuwarden.

Lowe becomes the third member from last year's championship squad to sign a professional contract overseas joining Eli Holman (Hapoel Eilat/Israel) and Chase Simon (Aris/Greece).
