INDIANAPOLIS—Cleveland State’s Alex Lewis (New Richmond, Ohio) and Green Bay’s Natalie Neuwirth (Stevens Point, Wis.) have been named Horizon League Men’s and Women’s Swimmers of the Week while Cleveland State’s Danny Roberts (Fairview, Pa.) and UIC’s Whitney Johnson (Roscoe, Ill.) have been named Horizon League Men’s and Women’s Divers of the Week for the week of Nov. 19-25.

Lewis led Cleveland State to a runner-up finish at the Second Annual Magnus Cup against the University at Buffalo, Xavier University and Ashland University. He placed first in three individual events including the 50-freestyle in a time of 20.27, 50-butterfly with a time of 21.86 and the 100-freestyle in a time of 44.47. He set a meet record with his 50-butterfly time and posted a b-cut time and another meet record in the 50-freestyle. In addition, Lewis was a member of the winning 400-medley relay team and placed second in the 200-freestyle relay, 400-freestyle relay and 100-butterfly.

Neuwirth helped the Phoenix to a first place finish at the IUPUI House of Champions Invite against an eight-team field. She won six events in Indianapolis between her individual and relay races. Neuwirth was atop of the competition in the 200-individual medley with a time of 2:05.98 and 400-individual medley in a time of 4:29.76. She also swam on the winning teams of the 400-medley relay, 200-freestyle relay, 400-freestyle relay and 800-freestyle relay.

Roberts finished at the top of the leaderboard in both diving events at the Second Annual Magnus Cup for the Vikings. He set a meet record and Cleveland State season-best score in the 3-meter with a total of 344.70. On the 1-meter board, Roberts tallied a score of 286.35. This is the second-straight week he has claimed the Horizon League honor.

Johnson led the way for the Flames collecting victories in both diving events at the TYR Invitational against a nine-team field. She posted a NCAA Qualifying Standard Score on the 1-meter board with a total of 279.75. In the 3-meter, she finished with 277.00 points. Johnson has finished first overall in every meet she has competed in this season.
