Chicago, Ill. - Loyola (4-8, 1-0) traveled to the UIC Pavilion on Thursday to face league competitor and cross-town rival UIC (3-9, 0-1). The Ramblers downed the Flames 95-80 in the first conference game for both teams. LUC shot 53 percent for the contest while UIC turned in a 48 percent effort. Loyola placed five players in double-figures as Ciara Henderson led the way with a game-high 27 points. Meskhenet Lands followed with 20 points while Mandy Mennella posted a double-double of 11 points and 14 assists. Danielle Lonie added 11 points and nine rebounds as Jenna Real chipped in 12 points and eight boards. The Flames were led by Dejeanette Flournoy who finished with 19 points, while Jacquay Holmes added 17 and LaShonda Grant recorded 14.
