CHICAGO - On October 17, the Loyola University Chicago softball team volunteered its time at the Dream Halloween Event at Windy City Fieldhouse. The family-oriented Halloween party benefited the Children Affected by AIDS Foundation (CAAF).
Members of Loyola’s softball team dressed up as characters, did arts and crafts and trick-or-treated with children to make the Dream Halloween event a success. The goal of the day was to provide children living with HIV/AIDS with a safe, secure opportunity to enjoy Halloween through an experience that goes far beyond a child’s imagination.
CAAF is the only organization solely devoted to providing social, educational, recreational and other critical support programs to vulnerable children impacted by HIV/AIDS in the United States and other countries. Offering a variety of programs including shelter, food, and long-term emotional support, CAAF will assist over 18,000 children in 2009.
