Loyola's Collopsy named Horizon League Golfer of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS -- Loyola senior Sean Collopsy has been named Horizon League Golfer of the Week for the period of March 1-7.

Collopsy tied for 38^th out of 91 insividuals at the Samford Invitational in Oneonta, Ala. The Ramblers finished 17th in the event.

Collopy, a native of Lake Oswego, Ore., led Loyola with a 36-hole score of 151 (78-73). The senior shot a one-over-par 73 in the second round of play on March 8.  The Samford Invitational was shortened due to the rain.

Collopy’s second-round 73 tied for his second-lowest this year.

Collopy will become eligible for next week’s Horizon League Network's "People's Choice" award, which is announced each Thursday afternoon.  Log on to www.HorizonLeague.com to vote.
