INDIANAPOLIS --- Loyola University Chicago senior guard Justin Cerasoli has been named Horizon League Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 22.

A native of Chicago, Cerasoli averaged 22.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists in a 1-1 week for the Ramblers. He notched 19 points, four rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two steals in Loyola's 67-41 victory Wednesday over the University of Detroit Mercy. Against Bradley University on Saturday, Cerasoli poured in 26 points -- two shy of his career high -- plus a career-best seven rebounds and six assists in an 86-75 loss.

For the week, Cerasoli shot 56 percent (20-of-36) from the floor, including 5-of-13 from three-point range, and also averaged 2.0 blocked shots and 1.5 steals per outing.

Loyola (14-16, 6-11 Horizon League) enters the week tied with the University of Illinois at Chicago for seventh place in the League standings. The Ramblers will play host to the rival Flames Friday at 9 p.m. ET (8 p.m. CT) in both teams' regular-season finale, which will be the League's final Friday Game of the Week on ESPNU.
