INDIANAPOLIS -- UIC senior Sebastian Lystad and Cleveland State sophomore Catrine Bjerrehus have been name Horizon League Tennis Players of the Week for the period of Feb. 22-28.

Lystad, a native of Oslo, Norway, earned victories in his only singles and doubles matches of the week. He posted a 4-6, 7-6(4), 10-2 triumph at No. 1 singles at Southern Illinois. Lystad also teamed with Nate Kirk to register an 8-6 win at No. 2 doubles on Saturday, tying UIC's career record for doubles wins.

Bjerrehus, a native of Aarhus, Denmark, went 2-1 at No. 1 singles and 3-0 in doubles play over the weekend. She recorded a 7-5, 7-5 win against Bowling Green and 6-3, 6-0 victory against Oakland. Bjerrehus paired with Charlotte Gibbons to notch an 8-6 victory against BGSU and 8-7 win versus Toledo at No. 1 doubles. She also teamed with Molly Drake at No. 3 doubles to defeat Oakland, 8-5.

The UIC men are set to travel to Wichita State on Saturday and Washburn on Sunday. The Cleveland State women host Youngstown State on Sunday.
