SPRINGBORO, Ohio -- Wright State tennis coach Sean McCaffrey picked up his 200th career win and 100th at WSU Wednesday afternoon as the men's team defeated Northern Kentucky 5-2 at the South Regency Tennis Center.
After claiming the doubles point, the Raiders were victorious in each of the top four singles matches, with Lauri Makikalli winning in straight sets in #1 singles.
In his fifth season at the helm of the Raiders, McCaffrey now has a 61-48 men's record and 39-62 with the women for a combined mark of 100-110. Before coming to WSU, McCaffrey was 40-18 with the men and 60-19 with the women in five years at Colby-Sawyer College, giving him a 101-36 men's record and a 99-81 women's mark overall for a combined record of 200-117.
Wright State (6-5) returns to action on Sunday, February 24, as the Raiders head to Columbus for a neutral-site match against LSU starting at 5:00.
