2011-12 Horizon League Men's Basketball Preseason Prospectus

The 2011-12 Horizon League Men's Basketball Prospectus is now available. Containing a review of 2010-11 and a preview of the 2011-12 season, the prospectus will prepare you for the upcoming season.

Horizon League News & Notes
TURNOVER
- Only two First or Second Team All-League honorees from 2011 return to the Horizon League, both from Detroit: Ray McCallum (Second Team, Newcomer of the Year) and Eli Holman (Second Team, All-Defensive Team).

- Three members of last year’s All-Defensive Team return to the Horizon League - Holman, Trevon Harmon and Ronald Nored.

- 14 Horizon League players signed professional contracts in the offseason, with two players taken in the NBA Draft:

- Two new coaches have taken over in the Horizon League, Porter Moser was hired at Loyola following a four-year stint as an assistant head coach at St. Louis. Following the retirement of Homer Drew, Valparaiso introduced associate head coach Bryce Drew as the program’s new leader.    

JET-SETTING
- Five Horizon League players starred in international competition this summer with their respective national teams. Additionally, Butler head coach Brad Stevens served as an assistant coach on USA Basketball’s World University Games team.
