Horizon League Storylines

League-leading and nationally ranked Butler (16-1, 7-0) will play host to third-place Green Bay (14-5, 6-1) Thursday and second-place Milwaukee (12-6, 7-1) Saturday at Hinkle Fieldhouse in a week that will have a major impact on the upper third of the League standings.

Several Horizon League teams are riding hot streaks entering Thursday's action. Butler has won eight in a row, Green Bay and Wright State eight of nine, and Milwaukee seven of eight. The four teams are a combined 30-3 since Dec. 20, with two of those losses coming to one of the other three teams in that span.

This Friday's Horizon League game of the week on ESPNU features preseason favorite Cleveland State at long-time northeast Ohio rival Youngstown State at 9 p.m. ET. The Vikings (13-7, 4-4) enter the week in fifth place in the League standings, while the Penguins (5-12, 2-6) are tied for eighth.
