 Following six early-week non-conference games, the Horizon League schedule resumes on New Year's Eve day. Among Thursday's four games is Green Bay (10-4, 3-0) at NR/#23 Butler (8-4, 1-0) in a match-up of two of the four teams that remain undefeated in League play. Other games Thursday include Wright State (8-4, 2-0) at Loyola (9-2, 1-1), Detroit (8-4, 2-0) at UIC (3-8, 0-2) and Milwaukee (8-5, 1-1) at Valparaiso (5-8, 0-1).

 Horizon League teams have proven they can beat the nation's best this season. Among teams in this week's Associated Press Top 25, Butler has defeated #15 Ohio State (10-2) and #25 Northwestern (10-1) , while Green Bay upset current #23 Wisconsin (10-2). Those three teams have a combined recordof 30-5, with three of their five losses coming to League teams.

 The HLN Game of the Week will debut this Saturday with Milwaukee at NR/#23 Butler at 2 p.m. ET. The eight-game package will air on various Midwest affiliates as well as ESPN FullCourt and HorizonLeagueNetwork.tv on Saturdays through the end of the regular season.

 Cleveland State's game at #12/12 Kansas State Tuesday will be the Vikings' third straight against a top-25 team following games against #6/6 West Virginia and #17/17 Ohio State.
