· Milwaukee improved to 5-0 in Horizon League play Monday with a 61-47 victory over Valparaiso and next will host in-state rival Green Bay Friday in a nationally televised game on ESPNU. The Panthers last started conference play with five consecutive wins in their 2005-06 League-championship season.
* Butler (12-1, 3-0 Horizon League) entered the ESPN/USA Today Poll this week for the first time this season at 20th and moved up to 21st (from 25th) in the Associated Press Top 25. The Bulldogs' only loss is by three points (54-51) at Ohio State.
*Wright State has won six straight and eight of its last nine following an 0-6 start. The Raiders will play at Butler Thursday in a matchup of two of the League's hottest teams.
* Loyola knocked Green Bay from the ranks of the Horizon League's unbeaten teams in conference action Monday 62-60 on J.R. Blount's two free throws with 4.9 seconds remaining.
