Complete Day 1 Results Get Acrobat Reader

Lebanon, Ohio - Cleveland State University staked claimed to the day one lead behind strong performances from Jake Scott and Kent Monas as the Horizon League Men's Golf Championship got underway on Saturday at Shaker Run Golf Club in Lebanon, Ohio.

The Vikings tallied rounds of 294 and 299 en route to a 17-over par total for the day, giving them a three-shot lead over second-place Detroit (295-301).

On the individual leader board, Green Bay's Adam Austreng places first with rounds of 70 and 71 (-3). Second place belongs to Butler's Kyle Thomas (71-71), while the CSU duo of Scott and Monas are tied for third (-1).

The 2008 Championship concludes Sunday with the final round at 8 a.m.
