Jason Hamilton of Detroit and Pavle Dundjer of UIC have been selected the Horizon League Men's Soccer Co-Players of the Week for Oct. 11.
Hamilton culminated a wild finish to the Titans' 2-1 overtime triumph over Wright State when he headed in the golden goal 4:49 into the first bonus session to help the Red, White and Blue secure their first road victory over the Raiders since 1994. Hamilton needed all of his 6-1 frame on the game-winner as he got full elevation into the air to bank the cross into the back of the net for his second career goal. Coming off the bench he registered a team- and game-high three shots in the triumph with his winning tally representing his only shot on goal. A converted goalkeeper, he is currently tied for the team lead in assists (3) while additionally ranking third on team in points (7) while posting two goals on eight shots this season.
Dundjer's outstanding rookie campaign continued on Sunday, as the freshman midfielder scored the game-winning goal in UIC's upset over defending Horizon League champion UW-Milwaukee. Dundjer gained possession of a loose ball and sprinted up the middle towards Panthers keeper Eric Mickschl, then lasered in a quick strike as he faded to the left side that hit the back of the net and ended UW-Milwaukee's 25-game league unbeaten streak. The freshman now has three goals on the year, tied for the team lead.

Cory Edgington
Butler, Senior, Forward, Indianapolis, Ind.
Edgington scored two goals to lead Butler to a 3-0 victory over Evansville, in the Bulldogs' lone match last week. He gave Butler a 2-0 lead with a goal from 15 yards out at 48:31, and then he closed the scoring with an unassisted goal at 61:15. Edgington led the Bulldogs in the game with five shots, including four shots on goal. The two goals gave Edgington 16 for his career, moving him into ninth place on Butler's all-time list for goals scored.
Andrea Roaldset
Cleveland State, Sophomore, Midfielder, Narvik, Norway
Roaldset scored the first goal for the Vikings in a 3-1 win over Robert Morris. The goal came on a free kick from 20 yards away, and his bending shot found the upper left side of the goal to give CSU an early 1-0 lead. He provided steady midfield play in both matches last week, winning 50-50 balls and distributing to both sides of the field.
Josh Okoampa
UW-Green Bay, Sophomore, Forward, Brooklyn Park, Minn.
For the second straight week, Okoampa provided all the offense for the Phoenix, as his game-winner against Cleveland State Oct. 9 gave the Phoenix its first road Horizon League win since the 2001 season and a 2-1 mark in conference play, equaling the team's Horizon League wins for the last two seasons combined. Okoampa also scored the team's lone goal against Marquette Oct. 6, as the sophomore forward has now scored in four straight games. Okoampa is now tied for second in the Horizon League with seven goals on the year and fourth in points with 14.
HORIZON LEAGUE NEWS & NOTES
Butler Bulldogs (9-3, 3-0 HL)
Senior Andrew Pancio scored the game-winning goal against Evansville, and he added an assist on Butler's second goal. The three points gave Pancio 41 for his career and moved him into ninth place on Butler's all-time scoring list. Pancio stands fifth on Butler's all-time assist chart with 17 career assists.
Goalkeeper Frank Peabody, playing in place of injured Evan Reinhardt, recorded his second career shutout in Butler's victory over Evansville. Peabody is 4-0 as Butler's goalkeeper this fall.
Butler's current eight-match winning streak is the longest win streak of head coach Joe Sochacki's tenure. Butler's school record is nine straight wins in 1998.
Cleveland State Vikings (4-5-2, 0-2-1 HL)
Cleveland State is 3-1-1 at home this season, and in the midst of a six-game homestand.
Freshman starting defender Tom Sadd has minor surgery on his knee last week, and should be back by mid to late October in time for conference play.
All but two of Cleveland State's matches this year have been decided by a goal or less.
Detroit Titans (7-4, 3-2 HL)
The Titans will look to extend their season-best winning streak to five when the Red, White and Blue host IPFW on Tuesday (Oct. 12). If they do it would be the team's longest skein since a five-game streak in 2002.
Detroit's overtime victory at Wright State represented the Titans' first road victory over the Raiders since 1994.
With Detroit's conference wins this season over UW-Green Bay, UIC and Wright State, the Titans have defeated all three of those teams in the same campaign for the first time in school history while the squad edged the combination of UIC and Wright State for initial time since 1994.
UIC Flames (3-8-1, 2-2-1 HL)
UIC's victory over UW-Milwaukee marked the first time the Flames have beaten the Panthers since 2000. The Flames are now 1-0-1 against UW-Milwaukee over the last two seasons.
Rookie keeper Jeff Engelbrecht, the all-time shutout leader in Illinois high school history, earned his first collegiate shutout on Sunday, tabbing three saves in the process.
The Flames will face Missouri-Kansas City this Wednesday, having a 1-2 all-time record against the Kangaroos. Their last meeting was in 1995, with UMKC taking a 1-0 win.
UIC will then take on Memphis, with the all-time series tied at 1. The Flames downed the Tigers, 4-0, in Memphis, Tenn., in 2001.
Loyola Ramblers (1-10-1, 0-3 HL)
Loyola dropped a 2-0 decision to Big Ten foe Michigan State on Wednesday in East Lansing, Mich. It was the second game in a row and the third time this season the Ramblers have been held scoreless in a match.
The Ramblers jump back into Horizon League action this week, heading to league-leading Butler on Friday before traveling to Cleveland State on Sunday.
UW-Green Bay Phoenix (5-6-1, 2-1 HL)
The Phoenix, picked eighth in the preseason Horizon League poll, has two league wins this season for a 2-1-0 record in the league. The two wins matches the team's Horizon League win total of the last two seasons combined, with four league games yet to play.
The Phoenix will be tested this week when it travels to face UW-Milwaukee Wednesday, Oct. 13 before hosting Wright State Sunday, Oct. 17. In UW-Green Bay's last eight games combined against the Panthers and the Raiders, the Phoenix is 0-8 and has been outscored 24-3.
UW-Milwaukee Panthers (3-4-3, 1-1 HL)
UW-Milwaukee will finally return home this week following a season-high six-game road swing. The six-games away from home were the longest streak since the 1993 team played seven straight road games. UWM has played just two home games so far in 2004, posting a 1-1 record in the Coca-Cola Panther Invitational. The Panthers end the season with six of their last seven games at home.
Wright State Raiders (5-6, 2-2 HL)
Ricky Strong scored the Raiders only goal this week as he tallied the match equalizer with :02 left in the Raiders game against Detroit.
Strong netted his seventh goal of the season which gives him 14 points for the season thus far.
The Raiders dropped another overtime contest this week against Detroit, WSU is now 0-3 in overtime this season losing each game 2-1. The Raiders have a busy week this week as they swing into a three game road trip to IUPUI and take on UWGB and UWM over the weekend.
