Milwaukee and Green Bay athletes honored as Swimmer and Diver of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS - Milwaukee senior Kerry Rossow has been named the Horizon League Women’s Swimmer of the Week, while Green Bay senior Lauren McGraw has claimed Women’s Diver of the Week honors for the period of Jan. 18-Jan. 24.

Rossow set two new pool records at the University of Chicago this past weekend as the Panthers downed the Maroons, 208-92.  Her record-setting performances clocked in at 1:05.29 and 2:21.54 in the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke races, respectively.  The Beaver Dam, Wis., native, also took second-place honors in the 200 individual medley, clocking in at 2:13.54.  Rossow collects the second weekly honor of her career.

Competing against in-state rival Wisconsin, McGraw racked up one event win and one second-place accolade.  The Woodbury, Minn., native, tallied a winning score of 273.23 off the three-meter board and notched 252.90 points from the one-meter height.  The senior takes home her sixth career weekly award and her second of the season.
