Milwaukee captured both Horizon League Indoor Track & Field Championships on Sunday at the University of Michigan Indoor Track Building in Ann Arbor, Mich. The men capture their seventh straight title, while the women claim their fourth crown in five years.

Milwaukee (177 points) sailed past six League opponents on the men's side -- Butler (100), Youngstown State (67), Detroit (63), Loyola (57), UIC (45) and Valparaiso (17).

The Panthers (174 points) then rolled past seven conference foes on the women's side -- Butler (103), Loyola (75), Wright State (66), Youngstown State (45), UIC (41), Detroit (21) and Valparaiso (2).

Three Horizon League Indoor Championship records were broken during the two-day event.

Detroit junior Earnest Cleary recorded a 6.83 in the 60 meter, while Wright State sophomore Cassandra Lloyd turned in an 8.46 in the 60-meter hurdles and Loyola sophomore Devin Gosberry finished at 55.39 in the 400 meter.

Butler senior Joe MacDonald was named Most Outstanding Running Performer on the men's side, while Milwaukee senior Quinn Mongoven earned Most Outstanding Field Performer accolades.

Milwaukee freshman John Simons was named Men's Running Newcomer of the Year, while Milwaukee freshman Dan Simon picked up Field Newcomer of the Year honors.

Gosberry was named Most Outstanding Running Performer on the women's side, while Milwaukee senior Beth Zimmerman earned Most Outstanding Field Performer accolades.

Butler freshman Kirsty Legg was named Women's Running Newcomer of the Year, while Wright State freshman Erica Kemp earned Field Newcomer of the Year laurels.

MacDonald took first in both the 1 mile (4:13.36) and 3,000 meter (8:31.29), while Mongovan won the high jump (2.14 meters) and long jump (7.08 meters) on the men's side.

Zimmerman placed first in the long jump (5.67 meters) and triple jump (11.98 meters), while Gosberry also won the 200 meter (25.13) on the women's side.

Pete Corfeld, now in his 21st season leading both Milwaukee track programs, was named Men's and Women's Coach of the Year for the 2010 indoor season.
