With just over 10 minutes to play in the first half, Shay Sade put the Penguins ahead, 2-0, rebounding a shot from 15 yards out after a YSU corner kick.

YSU was able to hold on down the stretch, with Jackie Podolsky making six saves as the Penguins set a new program record for victories.

Detroit 1, Wright State 0
A relentless offensive push carried Detroit to a key road win at Wright State, 1-0, at Alumni Field.

Detroit (6-6-1, 3-2-0 Horizon) became the first team in the conference to reach three wins, with its nine points topping the conference.

The Titans had 19 shots in the match, 11 on goal; Wright State (6-3-5, 1-1-2 Horizon) cleared three Detroit shots off the line to preserve the clean sheet for over 70 minutes. However, the Titans finally broke through in the 71st minute behind Nina Carter.

Alyssa Riley and Abby McCollum helped push the play, combining to get the ball to Carter, who beat Brooke McCurdy for her fourth goal of the season.

Nora Abolins made six saves to record the shutout for the Titans, while McCurdy recorded 10 saves for the Raiders.

Milwaukee 2, Loyola 1 (2OT)
Helen Steinhauser netted her second straight game-winning goal, this one sending Milwaukee to a 2-1 double overtime win over visiting Loyola at Englemann Stadium.

Milwaukee (4-7-1, 3-2-0 Horizon) joined Detroit at the top of the Horizon League ladder, with the Panthers owning the tie-breaker over the Titans.

The Panthers took an early lead on Kelsey Holbert’s second goal of the year; Kelly Lewers played a cross across the top of the box, where Holbert finished to put UWM up, 1-0.

Loyola (6-7-2, 1-2-1 Horizon) knotted the match in the second half when Moriah Schwarz’ header beat Jamie Forbes. Mariah Vichich played a long serve into the box, where Schwarz went above the fray to head in the goal.

The teams traded chances in overtime, but it was Steinhauser who found the golden goal with just 23 seconds to play. Off a scramble at the top of the box, Steinhauser wheeled and fired to the low corner, where the shot eluded Monica Gonyo.
