INDIANAPOLIS - University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee senior Kerry Rossow has been named the Horizon League Women's Swimmer of the Week, while junior teammate Kelsey George earned Women's Diver-of-the-Week honors for the period of Nov. 2-Nov. 8.
Rossow and George each recorded two first-place finishes to lead UWM to a quad-meet victory at University of Illinois at Chicago on Saturday.
Rossow swept the breaststroke events, posting times of 1:05.75 and 2:22.21 in 100 and 200-yard races, respectively. She also claimed first-place honors at Wheaton College dual-meet on Friday in the 100 breast with a time of 1:05.58.
The Beaver Dam, Wis., native is honored with her first career weekly accolade.
George recorded scores of 233.70 and 270.75, off the one- and three-meter boards, respectively. The Middletown, Wis., native collects the third weekly award of her career.
Milwaukee is back in action on Friday as the Panthers travel to Stevens Point, Wis. for a quad-meet with the University of South Dakota, Minnesota StateMankato, and the host Pointers.
