Milwaukee 116, Bradley 112 (2 OT)
Milwaukee's Ashley Green banked in a running three-pointer as time expired in regulation to force overtime to help propel the Panthers to a double overtime win over Bradley, 116-112, in the Klotsche Center.

Catie O'Leary made two free throws with three seconds left in regulation to give the Braves an 87-84 lead, but Milwaukee threw the inbounds pass to Green at midcourt and after a couple of dribbles she hit a running three-pointer from the right side to extend the game. It was the final basket of the game for Green, as she fouled out in the first overtime, but the sophomore did plenty of damage in regulation as she finished the game with 33 points on 13-of-18 shooting from the field. Her shooting percentage of .722 is the highest shooting percentage by a Horizon League player this season.

Green committed her fourth and fifth fouls in the first 1:40 of the first overtime to foul out, but Angela Rodriguez picked up the scoring load for the Panthers as the junior guard scored 11 of UWM's 14 points in the first overtime. Rodriguez was 5-of-6 from the field in the first OT  and assisted on Milwaukee's other basket in the period. The junior guard's jumper with :47 seconds remaining in the first OT gave the Panthers a 101-99 lead, but Bradley's Shronda Butts drove right back down the court for a layup to tie the game and force a second overtime.

The Panthers opened the second overtime on fire, making their first four field goal attempts, including three three-pointers to take a 112-107 lead with 2:50 remaining. Bradley would get as close as two at 114-112, but Rodriguez would make two free throws with :22 remaining to give UWM the final margin.

Milwaukee had five players reach double figures in scoring led by Green with 33, Rodriguez 22, Sami Tucker 21, Emily Decorah 13 and Sammy Theut 12. Rodriguez also had a game-high eight assists for the Panthers. Janna Swopshire controlled the boards for UWM, pulling down 11 rebounds, six offensive, for the Panthers.

Valparaiso 82, IPFW 73
The Valparaiso women’s basketball team went on a 20-5 run over a six-minute span in the second half against IPFW to take a 14-point lead and never looked back in getting its first road win of the season with an 82-73 victory over the Mastodons on Tuesday night.

Trailing 49-48, Liz Horton opened the spurt with a basket in the lane. Lexi Miller and Maegan Callaway then each made 3-pointers to put the Crusaders up 56-51.

After a pair of free throws from Charae Richardson, two baskets from Tabitha Gerardot sandwiched a layup from Callaway to put Valparaiso up 10. Richardson added a jumper after a defensive stop and then got a steal on the next possession and fed Gina Lange for a layup to give the Crusaders their biggest lead of the game at 68-54.

Lange led the Crusaders with 18 points, including 10-of-10 shooting at the free throw line. Gerardot chipped in with 17 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the field. Each player pulled down six rebounds.

Valparaiso finished 27-of-54 from the field and had a 36-20 edge on points in the paint. The Crusaders also totaled a 32-22 rebounding edge.

Miami (Ohio) 72, Wright State 54
Wright State  fell behind 13-0 at the start and could not recover in dropping a 72-54 decision at Miami Tuesday afternoon.

The RedHawks connected on three three-pointers in the opening 4:26 in building the 13-0 lead, only to see the Raiders answer with seven straight points, all coming from Kim Demmings.  Miami, however, followed with another 13-0 run to go up 26-7 with 9:48 remaining in the first half.

WSU again chipped away, closing the deficit to 29-19 on a KC Elkins jumper at the 3:51 mark, before the RedHawks tallied 10 of the final 12 points to go up 39-21 at the half.

Miami shot 49 percent from the field in the first half compared to 21 percent for the Raiders.

Wright State would get no closer than 14 the rest of the way in shooting 30 percent overall while the RedHawks finished at 45 percent.

Demmings led WSU with 21 points, 14 after halftime, but no other Raider reached double figures.
