INDIANAPOLIS – Milwaukee’s Danielle Wenger has been named the Horizon League Women’s Swimmer of the week and Kelsey George has earned Women’s Diver of the Week for the period of Oct. 25- Nov. 1.

Wenger, a senior from Hartford, Wis. took first place in both events she competed in on Friday (Oct. 29) against Wright State. In the 500 freestyle she broke a pool record by nearly two seconds, touching the wall in a time of 5:02.43. Wenger also swam in the 1000 Freestyle, winning in a time of 10:34.42.

George, a senior from Middleton, Wis. earned her third Diver of the Week award for the year, sweeping the diving competition against Wright State on Fri. (Oct. 29). She won both the 1- and 3- meter dives by over 30 points while posting two NCAA zone-scores. In the 1-meter she received a score of 278.55 and earned 287.25 points on the 3-meter dive.

Milwaukee returns to action on Fri. (Nov. 5) hosting Wheaton College in a dual meet starting at 7pm (CST). On Saturday, the Panthers will travel to Northwestern to take on UIC and Northwestern starting at 1pm (CST).
