INDIANAPOLIS – Milwaukee senior Jonathan Capasso and Youngstown State senior Phil Klein have been named Horizon League Baseball Players of the Week for the period of April 4-10.

Capasso picked up Batter of the Week accolades after going 9-for-16 (.563) with five RBIs and four runs to help Milwaukee to a four win week. He also registered a .563 slugging percentage and .632 on-base percentage for the Panthers.

The outfielder, a native of Racine, Wis. helped Milwaukee sweep UIC on the road last week collecting Milwaukee’s first five hit game of the year, going 5-for-5 against the Flames on Saturday, after starting the week with a three hit, four RBI game to help the Panthers down Northwestern.

Klein notched Pitcher of the Week honors for the second time this year after helping the Penguins go 2-1 against Butler over the weekend.

The right-hander, a native of Gahanna, Ohio, won his fourth consecutive start after pitching seven innings against the Bulldogs.  He allowed four singles and walked three while striking out ten in holding Butler without an earned run.

Youngstown State will travel to Kent State on Tuesday for a 3pm ET game, while Milwaukee will host Carroll at 4pm ET.
