INDIANAPOLIS - University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee freshman forward Sarah Hagen has been named Horizon League Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the period of Oct. 6-12. It is Hagen's second weekly honor from the League office this season.

Hagen, an Appleton, Wis., native, scored four goals in a pair of Horizon League victories last weekend. She opened the weekend by scoring twice in the first half of UWM's 7-0 win at Cleveland State University Friday night. Her tallies came 48 second apart and gave the Panthers a 4-0 lead.

Hagen followed that performance with another pair of goals in a 3-0 victory Sunday at Youngstown State. She found the back of the net once in each half, with her second tally tying Lisa Krzykowski's single-season school record for goals (16) with three matches remaining. Krzykowski set the mark in 1995 and tied it two years later.

Additionally, Hagen now owns Milwaukee's single-season record with six game-winning goals.

She currently leads the Horizon League in goals (16), points (34), shots (62) and game-winning goals (6). In League play, she ranks first with five goals and second with 11 points.

The freshman was previously named Horizon League Player of the Week on Aug. 25 after scoring two goals in her collegiate debut, a 3-0 win over Wisconsin.
