INDIANAPOLIS -- Milwaukee senior forward Kelly Lewers (Homewood, Ill.) is the Horizon League Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, while Detroit freshman goalkeeper Marina Manzo (Washington Township, Mich.) has earned Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 29-Oct. 5.

Lewers, the defending Horizon League Player of the Year, scored two of Milwaukee’s three goals last week as the Panthers went 1-0-1. She scored the game-winning goal in UWM’s 2-1 win over 7-5 Illinois State on Wednesday. On Saturday, she scored the equalizer as the Panthers finished in a 1-1 tie with Cleveland State. Lewers was the only Horizon League player to score more than one goal last week as she moved into sixth place in all-time points in Milwaukee program history with 63.

Milwaukee (5-7-1, 1-1-1) has two conference matches on the schedule this week. They travel up to Green Bay to take on the Phoenix (7-3-2, 1-1) on Wednesday before finishing the week with a home match versus Wright State (4-7-1, 1-1-1).

Manzo recorded her third shutout of the season as the Titans defeated UIC, 1-0, in overtime. She recorded two saves in match and fended off eight shots overall. The freshman goalkeeper ranks second in the League in shutouts and has made 44 saves with a 1.15 GAA this season.

Detroit (4-5-1, 2-1) returns to the pitch Wednesday when it hosts Youngstown State (6-4-2, 2-0-1) at 3 p.m. ET.

Amanda Sivic, Cleveland State (Sr., F) - Scored CSU’s lone goal in 1-1 draw at Milwaukee.
Rhi Stelter, Green Bay (Sr., F) - Scored game-winning goal in 83rd minute of 1-0 win at Wright State.
Kristen Warner, Valparaiso (Sr., M) - First career-goal was match-winner in 2-1 win over Loyola.

Top Defensive Performers for the Week:
Kelly Fritz, UIC (Fr., GK) - Recorded two saves before allowing goal in 98th minute to Detroit in 1-0 loss. Had scoreless streak of 220 minutes between allowed goals.
Justy Linton, Green Bay (So., CB) - Led a defense that allowed only four shots on goal and defended six corner kicks cleanly in 1-0 defeat of WSU.
Halle Pyle, Wright State (Jr., GK) - Made four saves in 1-0 loss to Green Bay.
Kearsten Sego, Youngstown State (Sr., D) - Helped limit Oakland to just 10 shots, including just four in the second half, and zero shots on goal in 1-0 win.
