Milwaukee 79, North Dakota State 74

Jenny Lindner and Step Kostowicz combined for 52 points and Milwaukee improved to 6-1 with a 79-74 win over North Dakota State Saturday afternoon from the Klotsche Center.  The Panthers were able to overcome hot three point shooting from NDSU as sank 11 shots beyond the arc.

UIC 77, Central Michaigan 55

UIC ended its first road trip of 2016-17 by dropping a 77-55 decision to Central Michigan Saturday afternoon.  Though the Flames went toe to toe with the preseason MAC West favorites through nearly three quarters, the Chippewas took control with a strong performance to end the third and open the fourth.
Catera Etheridge stuck a jumper out of a timeout, and Terri Bender followed with a 10-footer off an out of bounds set to pull UIC within four points at 39-35 with under five minutes to play in the third.  But Central Michigan extended their lead and after a buzzer beater to end the period had claimed a 51-41 advantage.

Green Bay 71, Drake 48

GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- Mehryn Kraker scored a season-high 23 points on 9-of-10 shooting to help the Green Bay women's basketball team down Drake, 71-48, at home this afternoon.

The Phoenix set the tone immediately, winning the tip and going on an 11-0 run to take control of the game. The Bulldogs scored just nine points in the entire first quarter and finished 1-of-8 from long range, as their attempt to keep pace with a Green Bay team that was clicking on both ends fell short.

The Phoenix went on another run to open the second half, scoring 15 unanswered points to lead Drake 51-22 with 6:14 to play in the third quarter. Drake shot just 30.9% (17-55) in the game, while the Phoenix finished with a field-goal percentage of 48.3 (28-58).

Minnesota 111, Detroit Mercy 91

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (12/3/2016) -- It was raining 3-pointers Saturday at Minnesota with the University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team hitting a single-game, school-record 16 triples, but the Titans were knocked off by the host Golden Gophers, 111-91.
Detroit Mercy (3-5) was knocking down three pointers from the very start of the game, hitting two in the opening minutes and finished 16-for-35 from beyond the arc. The Titans made eight 3-pointers in each half and started out strong from deep, sinking six in the first quarter.

Valparaiso 73, Eastern Illinois 68

The Valparaiso University women’s basketball team fended off Eastern Illinois 73-68 on Saturday at the Athletics-Recreation Center. Junior Dani Franklin (Cedar Rapids, Iowa / George Washington) continued to light it up, accumulating 33 points to pave the way to the win. The Crusaders improve to 4-3, matching their best record through seven games since 1991-92.

Youngstown State 69, Saint Francis (PA) 68

Indiya Benjamin scored five of her game-high 21 points in the final minute as the Youngstown State women's basketball team rallied to beat Saint Francis U 69-68 on Saturday at Beeghly Center.

The Penguins trailed 64-59 with 1:35 left before outscoring the Red Flash 9-4 over the final stretch. Mailee Jones started the rally with a layup in transition, and Benjamin scored the next five points on a 3-pointer and her own transition layup that put YSU up 66-64.

Navy 88, Cleveland State 63

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Cleveland State women's basketball team began play at the Navy Classic Saturday evening, falling to the host Midshipmen, 88-63. The Vikings, who stand at 2-4 on the season, will continue play at the Navy Classic tomorrow, with a 2:00 p.m. contest against Richmond.
