INDIANAPOLIS -- Milwaukee junior Sami Tucker and Green Bay senior Julie Wojta are the Horizon League Women’s Basketball Co-Players of the Week, for the period from Feb. 20-Feb. 26.
 
Tucker averaged 18.0 points and 10.0 rebounds in Milwaukee’s two victories last weekend as the Panthers swept their weekend conference series for the first time this season. On Thursday in UWM’s 54-52 win over Butler, Tucker tied her career-high with 23 points and set a career-high with 14 rebounds against the Bulldogs. On Sunday, Tucker led the Panthers with 13 points as UWM set a new school record by holding Valparaiso to only 31 points in Milwaukee’s 50-31 victory.
 
Wojta posted double-doubles in both of Green Bay’s victories last week as the Phoenix clinched the regular season Horizon League title outright. On Thursday in Green Bay’s 72-36 win over Valparaiso, Wojta had 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting, grabbed 10 rebounds and passed out five assists against zero turnovers. On Saturday against Butler, Wojta led the Phoenix in points (27), rebounds (13), steals (6), assists (5) and blocks (2) as Green Bay defeated the Bulldogs, 78-53.
 
This week marks the final regular season games for the Horizon League. Milwaukee (9-18, 5-11) will play at UIC on Thursday and at Loyola on Saturday, while Green Bay (25-1, 15-1) plays at Loyola on Thursday and at UIC on Saturday.
 
Other Top Performers for the Week:
Courtney Boyd, Wright State (So., G) - Boyd averaged 25.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in Wright State’s two wins last week. She hit 10-of-24 shots from the field, including seven made three-pointers against Cleveland State, and shot 7-of-14, including six made three-points against Youngstown State.
Shalonda Winton, Cleveland State (Jr., F) - Winton averaged 27.5 points and 9.5 rebounds last week. She tallied her 14th double-double of the season with 29 points and 11 rebounds at Wright State. She had a team-high 26 points at Detroit. She made 24-of-26 free throws (.923) in the two games.
Shareta Brown, Detroit (Fr., F) - Brown posted double-doubles in both of Detroit’s wins last week. She had 20 points and 11 rebounds vs. Cleveland State and 16 points and 12 rebounds vs. Youngstown State. She was 14-of-23 (60.9%) overall from the field and broke Detroit’s freshman scoring record. 
Patrice King, Loyola (Jr., G) - King scored a team-high 25 points, scoring 15 of the Ramblers first 20 points of the game, as Loyola defeated UIC, 70-66.
Heidi Schlegel, Youngstown State (Fr., F) - Schlegel had 14 points and seven rebounds at Wright State and 18 points and eight rebounds at Detroit last week.
