INDIANAPOLIS -- Milwaukee senior Garrett Vetesnik (Richland Center, Wis.) and Youngstown State freshman Jennifer Neider (Hermitage, Pa.) have been named the Horizon League Indoor Field Athletes of the Week.

It is the first honor of the season for either.

Vetesnik earned his award for a personal best in the pole vault, clearing a 4.95m height and finishing third in a field of 23 at the Meyo Invitational hosted by Notre Dame. The mark improved upon his second-place standing in the school record book and ranks 91st in the nation this season.

Neider also picked up a personal best last weekend, taking first place out of 24 competitors in the shot put with a 14.14m toss at the YSU National Invitational, winning the event by .81m over the runner-up. She also took 18th place in the weight throw with an 11.39m distance.
