INDIANAPOLIS -- Green Bay’s Robert Miner and Kendra Rottier are the Horizon League Men’s and Women’s Swimmers of the Week for Oct. 22-28.
Miner, a junior from Madison, Wis., took home first place in two individual events and was also part of a victorious relay team in Green Bay’s dual-meet win over Wright State on Saturday. Miner swept the butterfly events, winning the 100 in 52.22 and the 200 in the 1:56.40 and swam in the 200 medley relay, which the Phoenix won in a time of 1:34.91.
Rottier, a junior from Green Bay, Wis., swam season-best times in all three individual events she competed in Green Bay’s dual-meet win over Wright State. The 2012 Horizon League Champion in the 500, 1000 and 1650 freestyle events won the 500 free (5:09.87) and the 1000 free (10:24.49) versus the Raiders and also won the 200 butterfly in a time of 2:11.07.
Green Bay’s men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams are back in action this weekend when they travel to South Dakota for two dual-meets. The Phoenix face South Dakota State on Friday and South Dakota on Saturday.
