INDIANAPOLIS – Wright State junior Tristan Moore and Milwaukee senior Chad Pierce have been named Horizon League Baseball Players of the Week for the period of March 28-April 3.

Moore picked up Batter of the Week accolades for the first time this season after going 9-for-14 (.643) with five RBIs and three runs in three games over the weekend. He also registered a .786 slugging percentage and .688 on-base percentage for the Raiders.

The outfielder, a native of New Albany, Ohio helped Wright State sweep Cleveland State at home last week scoring at least one run in all three games against the Vikings.

Pierce notched Pitcher of the Week honors for the first time this season after helping the Panthers go 2-1 against Butler in their opening Horizon League weekend.

The right-hander, a native of Fond du Lac, Wis., threw a four-hit complete-game shutout in Friday’s 4-0 win.  He walked just one and struck out a career-high nine batters.

Milwaukee will travel to Northwestern on Tuesday for a 4pm ET game, while Wright State will host Northwestern Ohio at 6:30pm ET on Wednesday.
