Chicago, Ill. - Cleveland State downed Loyola 62-55 in the first round of the 2005 American Family Horizon League Championship on Tuesday night. With the victory, the Vikings will advance to the quarterfinal round where they will face UW-Green Bay at the Phoenix Sports Center on Thursday. Cleveland State entered the break with a 29-21 advantage after scoring 12 of the final 14 first half points. The visiting team extended the lead to 43-27 midway through the second stanza, but the Ramblers fought back with an 18-8 run. Loyola cut the deficit to six points, but it was not enough as the Vikings would claim the victory. Despite the loss, Rambler Jenna Real scored a game-high 20 points while Ciara Henderson added 18. Omega Harrington and Brittany Korth led the Vikings with 10 points apiece.
