OMAHA, Neb. -- Oakland's Devon Nowicki took 34th in the men's 100 breaststroke at the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials as the meet opened on Saturday. Wright State alumnus Kile Aukerman finished 61st, while Green Bay alum and assistant Ryan Korslin was 103rd among 135 competitors.

Touching in 1:02.28, Nowicki's 34th place marks the second highest an Oakland swimmer has placed at the U.S. trials. Aukerman improved his time to 1:03,00, while Korslin posted a time of 1:04.21.

Monday will see three more Horizon League student-athletes or graduates in the pool, as Oakland's Rachel Waite and Milwaukee alumna Emily McClellan both compete in the 100 breaststroke. Wright State junior Mitch Stover will swim the 100 backstroke.

Prelim sessions will begin at 11 a.m. ET.
